SharePoint Server 2013 Service Pack 1 Now Available

SharePoint 2013 Service Pack 1PLEASE NOTE: As of April 22nd, 2014, Microsoft has reissued this service pack 1 install for SharePoint 2013 after fixing a bug that affected cumulative updates in previous version of service pack 1. If you previously deployed SharePoint 2013 SP1, we advise downloading the updated SP1 and installing it over existing SP1.

Have you heard the news? Yesterday, Microsoft officially released Service Pack 1 for SharePoint Server 2013. Actually, not only just for SharePoint, but the entire Office 2013 Suite, but since we’re primarily a Managed SharePoint provider, we’ll stick with that for now. The new update seeks to improve security, performance and stability issues.

Download the Service Pack 1 for Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 to get started. (This version includes previously unreleased fixes from Microsoft, including a fix for the missing search box issue).

Below is a list of issues that were found with RTM that are resolved with the installation of Service Pack 1. This list came directly from Microsoft and can be found here.
