SharePoint (MOSS) Cloud Computing – Coming Soon
SharePoint Cloud Computing from Fpweb.net is coming soon. We are targeting a launch at the SharePoint Conference on October 19 where we are a Gold sponsor. We will have some significant milestones along the way. One such milestone will be announced on Friday, June 5, 2009 when we start offering fully functional Free Hosted MOSS Demo Servers.
The MOSS Demo servers will be available to test functionality, speed, custom code and web parts. Just like test driving a new car, everyone wants to touch and feel it. We hear you! Feel free to scratch and sniff MOSS to see if hosted MOSS makes sense for you. The Demo servers are free to qualified businesses – no credit card needed. Just fill out the free MOSS Demo server application to get started. WSS Demo servers will follow shortly thereafter.
Later this year, we also plan on giving you options to load and test the following: AvePoint® DocAve management console (great interface and packed with goodies), Nintex workflows (easily automate all business processes), Bamboo web part suites (every web part you will ever need) and Quilogy vertical solutions (complete solutions for energy, healthcare and government).
As you can see we are moving towards a complete environment to make SharePoint easy for you. This SharePoint Cloud environment will be fully customizable (custom code deployments welcome), rapidly deployed and easily dialed up or down based on your SharePoint computing consumption needs.
NEW ENTRY-LEVEL MOSS HOSTING PLANS
This Friday (June 5, 2009) we also have a new service offering to help you combat the recession and start our move into SharePoint Cloud Computing. Fpweb.net will offer an $995/mo entry level MOSS Hosting Solution. This is a savings of 50% off our previous base offering and will allow small and medium businesses to gain efficiencies, save time and money, and compete with larger companies by bringing the power of MOSS to their team.

Congratulations to Barcelona
for their unprecedented triple and what is being heralded as the best team in soccer ever. No question the best manager. Possession in the final third was ridiculous. They ping it like no other. Well done boys.
SMX Advanced was fantastic
I attended this advanced SEO event in Seattle this week and am looking at strategies to improve SEO for our SharePoint customers. Danny Sullivan and his panel entourage were hilarious. Sharp, quirky humor and SEO nuggets abounded. Also thanks to Matt Cutts for all his Google insight.
Cloud computing in Australia looks to be gathering pace with Telstra announcing a $500m investment into cloud services. Good news for the industry!
